We had one week to produce a hook or coat hanger for the first term back at uni. And this is what I made..

Started off by prototyping my concept in card.
I glued two 2.5 mm card sheet together to get the thickness I wanted.
After that I designed my prototype in Illustrator, to later laser cut the model.

My second prototype was made in 5 mm acrylic.

For my final model I used 5 mm mild steel. I need to contact a local metal shop to cut the metal, since the laser cutter at my university can't cut through steel.

Filed of the sharp edges to avoid accident and to avoid ruining my jacket.

Finished model after being sanded, primed and spray painted black.

The two final designs before being painted and the acrylic hook.
